Our products and services allow doctors to make fast and accurate diagnoses in various disease fields, such as infectious diseases and neurological disorders. Based on our high-quality testing, appropriate treatment can be started quickly. We strive to be the best in each disease field by offering unique and effective diagnostic solutions.

We develop and manufacture diagnostic tests at our site in Ghent, as well as in Tokyo, after which they are sold worldwide by our commercial teams to hospitals and clinical laboratories.

Furthermore, we leverage our advanced expertise in the development and manufacturing of diagnostic solutions, as well as our high-quality standards, for contract manufacturing projects with third parties.

Fujirebio Europe is part of an international group (H.U. Group) with branches and colleagues in Asia, Europe, and the USA. We currently employ 155 people at our headquarters in Ghent and 50 people in our European affiliates.

We are currently looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to strengthen our team.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Join our team as an In-House Legal Counsel and step into the challenging environment of the diagnostic devices sector where you’ll learn fast and make real impact across the entire value chain — from R&D and clinical innovation to marketing and sales. This is the ideal opportunity to build broad, hands‑on legal expertise within a highly regulated, fast-evolving industry. 

What you’ll do:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, clinical and R&D-related agreements.
• Provide legal guidance and training on a broad range of compliance matters (such as IP, GDPR, Biobank, …).
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial).
• Support the IP-strategy in an innovation-driven environment.

Jouw profiel

• 2-3 years of legal experience 
• Law degree required; an additional qualification in IP rights is a strong asset
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
• Excellent legal drafting and writing skills
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Clear, confident oral and written communication
• Solid knowledge of contract law and IP law
• Interest in EU IVDR, regulatory compliance and in in vitro diagnostic technologies 
• Affinity with legal tech solutions 
• Strong willingness to learn
